Contact, fees

My name is Alex V. Priala. I am a certified hypnotherapist and an active member of the National Association of Naturopaths (NAN). Curious and pragmatic, I have always been motivated by discovery and understanding the true nature of things.

Studying social sciences and advanced technologies in my youth helped me develop an analytical mind rooted in metaphysical beliefs and ideals. With a solid scientific background and a university degree in social sciences, I pursued my vocation by spending several years of informal training studying medical anthropology, ritual healing practices, transpersonal and somatic psychology, hypnotherapy, and other holistic approaches to health and well-being.

As I have gotten older, I have learned that only consistently good, reproducible, and predictable therapeutic results validate truth in the confusing and often contradictory information of the vast domain of health and wellness. I've learned that exceptional results can be achieved only by understanding the true nature of things and acting with moral integrity. With time, I've also learned that only with the heart can one see clearly, and I finally understood that helping others when they need it most is the well-kept secret to the happiness of a fulfilled life. Since then, I've made it my mission to help people overcome challenges and improve their lives - and I love what I do! My excellent references attest to my integrity and the good results of my approach.

It all began over 40 years ago when I was fascinated by the incredible effectiveness of some of the traditional healing approaches I had benefited from when seeking to cure my then-health issues. These personal experiences opened my eyes to the surprising power of language as a coherent semiotic system and marked the beginning of my passion for ancient forms of hypnotherapy and ancestral healing rituals. Thus, after many years of study and experience in listening, advising, and helping others, I have become a passionate and authentic artisan of well-being, a master practitioner of the art of Somatic Hypnotherapy.

Whatever you want to believe, think, or do in your life - because you want to - is none of my business! However, when you often think, feel or do things that you would happily do without, I can help you. The practical goal of my work is to help you regain control and live the life you have dreamed of by releasing the patterns of your inadequate emotional responses, thus improving your state of mind, behavioral patterns, and quality of life. Thanks to its personalized approach, Somatic Hypnotherapy is one of the quickest and most reliable ways to overcome stress, anxiety, trauma, grief, guilt, shame, pain, and much more.

Somatic Hypnotherapy is a team effort! While my job is to help you identify and reset your accumulated feelings of stress, anxiety, trauma and other unpleasant feelings, it is your job to learn from your experiences and live your daily life! It is still your job to understand that what has the power to fulfill or jeopardize your life is not the cognitive memory of past events but the associated emotional feelings that your memories still arouse. It's like when you accidentally hurt yourself; what bothers you is not the understanding or memory of the accident but the consequence of it, the pain you feel. And it will only bother you to the extent and for as long as you feel the pain!

Somatic Hypnotherapy is a contemporary version of Traditional Hypnotherapy - as described by Dr. James Braid in terms of an empirical medical approach, updated with the rigor of the most advanced scientific models. Thus, Somatic Hypnotherapy has matured into a coherent therapeutic practice by successfully integrating several visionary scientific models, particularly the Somatic Markers Hypothesis, the concept of Emotional Coherence, the Ritual Healing Theory, and the Morphic Field Theory. The hallmark of this very particular approach is the use of a specific metaphorical language designed to trigger a subtle yet powerful process of neuro-linguistic modulation - a process capable of regulating the perception of any unwanted emotional or somatic experience.

When it comes to scientific evidence, one of the most misleading claims is that science is settled. It is good to know that science is never settled, and it is extremely rare to reach a scientific consensus on anything. When dealing with emotional or behavioral issues, there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all approach. That is why psychiatry, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, neuro-linguistic-programming, E.F.T., pet therapy, art therapy, mindfulness, yoga, craniosacral therapy, gravity blanket, mini-horse therapy, and many other approaches based on conflicting scientific concepts and models of behavior are all available to help solve various emotional and behavioral problems. However, what matters for all practical purposes are the results! If you are looking for extraordinary results, you better consider extraordinary approaches!

Beyond popularity or academic recognition, the true measure of the effectiveness of any therapeutic approach is the results. Thus, the predictability of the good results of Somatic Hypnotherapy is an undeniable confirmation of the conceptual coherence of this highly effective approach. Even though Somatic Hypnotherapy is teamwork, this approach has proven to be so reliable and effective that the principle of "No Results - No Pay" has become the guarantor of the seriousness and ethics of my work. In other words, if at the end of your session you do not see an improvement in the problems we have worked on, I won't accept your money! Aside from its spectacular results, this approach works with everyone - unless you have difficulty experiencing emotional feelings.

Unlike other therapeutic approaches that promise results that you may eventually experience in the future, with Somatic Hypnotherapy, you will assess most of your results on the spot. Following your first Somatic Hypnotherapy session, you will experience profound changes. Throughout your therapy, you will be able to change the emotional reading of your past as you see fit. You can significantly relieve or completely uproot pain and other unpleasant emotional or somatic (bodily) feelings. Please keep in mind, however, that complete remission of complex or deep-seated issues may require more than one session.*

With Somatic Hypnotherapy, you don't even need to know or rationally understand the exact cause of your problems to be able to uproot them. While this approach focuses on the experience of your emotional feelings - not on what you think about your feelings - knowing the factual details of your past is not essential to trigger healing. There's no need to embarrass yourself by sharing the details of memories you'd rather not talk about - to heal them. With proper care, your broken bone will heal, regardless of whether or not you remember how or why it broke.

With my approach, you don't run the risk of getting bogged down in endless therapy sessions, as I rarely give a client more than three sessions, regardless of the issue at hand. You will experience significant improvement after each session, regardless of the extent or severity of the problem being treated. If, at the end of your first session, you do not see an improvement in the problem you are trying to solve, it is very likely that this approach is not your therapy of choice and is not worth pursuing.

Somatic Hypnotherapy is an approach I discovered in Europe; I have updated it with the rigor of the most advanced scientific models and done my best to explain it in a laic, coherent, and easy-to-understand way, thus demystifying it and making it accessible to everyone.
